The Annual Adm Inspection of 2 Haryana Bn NCC Ambala.
(Audit Cum Formal Visit by Col Parminder Singh, Commanding officer 2 Haryana Bn NCC Ambala)
On January 18, 2020, D C M Sr Sec School, Ambala took a significant stride in fostering leadership, discipline, and national spirit with the induction of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). The school welcomed 50 dedicated cadets, forming a proud half platoon, into the NCC fold.
Since this momentous inception, the NCC unit at DCM Sr Sec school, Ambala has thrived under the guidance of esteemed officers. Notably, we had the honour of hosting Colonel Parminder Singh, the Commanding Officer of the 2 Haryana Battalion NCC, Ambala, on two inspiring occasions. His visits have not only invigorated our cadets but also instilled a deeper sense of commitment and purpose.
On 19.10.2023 (Thursday) We were honoured to host Colonel Parminder Singh, the Commanding Officer of 2 Haryana Bn NCC Ambala, along with Subedar Major Jay Narayan(JCO) and CFN Blessin C(NCO), on their audit cum formal visit to our esteemed institution. Their collective presence added immense value to this occasion.
The programme began with a formal welcome of the officers. Later the officer addressed the cadets and the students and inspire them to join the Indian Armed forces and to be the responsible citizens of country. He shared his experience and urged the cadets to be sincere and focus on the job at hand and to stay away from the various hurdles which are not good for their success in future.
Colonel Parminder Singh's visit was marked by an inspiring address to our dedicated cadets, instilling in them a sense of duty and motivation. Additionally, the insightful engagement he shared invaluable expertise, guiding our cadets toward excellence.
The officer was felicitated with the memento by Principal.
Col Parminder Singh visited the School’s NCC office and the maintence of all the documents. He later instructed the ANO to maintain the data of all the cadets for the betterment of the cadets.
The NCC program at DCM Sr Sec School stands as a testament to our dedication to shaping future leaders and fostering a sense of responsibility towards our nation. Through rigorous training, community engagement, and character development, our cadets are continually honing their skills, embodying the core values of the NCC.
National Cadets Corps
The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure, and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further. It aims at creating a pool of organised, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life who will serve the nation regardless of which career they choose.
Under the guidance of Third officer Mamta Dogra, Associate NCC officer DCM Sr Sec school Ambala, the cadets are participating in various social and community development activities with great zeal and enthusiasm. Since January 2020, the cadets have achieved remarkable positions in different activities.
In training year 2023-24 cadets of DCMA have participated in the various activities which are as follows:
In February 2023 cadets participated in “World Wetland Day” at Rani Talab temple. The whole event was under the guidance of commanding officer 2 Haryana Bn NCC, Ambala Cantt col Parminder Singh. At the event cadet Kritika and cadet Saanvi shared their views on the importance of the restoration of Wetlands. The aim to celebrate the event was to raise the awareness about the vital role of wetlands for people and planet.
On 21 June 2023, the cadets celebrated International Yoga Day in the school campus. They performed various yoga Asanas. The cadets, students, teachers and the sunshine staff also participated in the event.
Annual Training Camp
The annual training camp is a platform where cadets are learning new skills. In Annual training camp cadets get chance to learn various subjects such as drill, weapon training, map reading, first aid, adventure, self defence, military history, physical fitness, field craft and battle craft.
In June the cadets of DCMA attended the camp and achieved the following prizes.
1. Group Dance - First prize.
2. Solo Dance - First prize.
3. Cadet Yavnika - Gold medal in JW shooting.
4. Cadet- Akhil - Gold in JD shooting
5. Cadet Parshuram - First in debate competition.
6. Fourth position in Drill competition out of 20 teams.
Since the induction of NCC in DCMA cadets are participating in various social and community development programmes like awareness rallies, Nukkad Natak, Poster making, essay writing and debates. And the cadets are achieving highest positions in and outdoor activities from the unit.
ANO
Third officer Mamta Dogra, Associate NCC Officer of D C M Sr Sec School Ambala Cantt appeared in
selection Board for selection of ANOs on 12 Oct 2021 and got recommended by
Board of Officers and She got Direct Commission w.e.f 13 Oct 2021. She attended
DC/JW-109 from 01 Nov to 15 Dec 2022 at OTA, Gwalior. She was awarded with the Leadership Trophy for being an Outstanding Trainee Officer in
Leadership Qualities & Motivation in the course. She successfully graduated
from PRCN-109 (1 Nov to 15 Dec 2022) at OTA Gwalior with an A” Grading and
was Also awarded with the following certificates during PRCN-109: -
(i) For Excellence in Planning and Organising NCC Camp (Ex Shakti).
(ii) For Excellence in Planning & Organising Institutional Training
(Ex Anubhav).
Third Officer Mamta Dogra is undertaking her duties of ANO with highest level of honour and integrity towards the NCC. She has been at forefront of all major NCC activities since taking over the charge. Being a passionate ANO, she has learnt all the NCC procedures with utmost interest, including online enrolment of cadets, conduct of routine training/classes of cadets and involvement in the Annual Training Camps/any other centrally organised activities.
