People have difficulty agreeing upon what makes a
“Good Educational Institution.”
Would you like to send your children to an institution where rote literacy is encouraged or an academy where children are encouraged to learn with understanding and where literacy is brought about naturally and organically by loving and committed preceptors, without pressure and stress?
Do we actually want our children to be truly educated or simply be prepared only for a job or pass some entrance exams or coaching tests, just without any general knowledge or depth and wisdom to realize their true potential and thus the true purpose of human life?
Unfortunately, the parameters of good educational institutions by numerous Indian parents are a heavy syllabus, a day schedule filled with a majority of academic periods, increase in number of so called revision tests and assessments, maximum notebook work, rote learning by their wards, etc.
A good educational institution follows a balanced, meaningful and a holistic class. It has popular processes and encourages scholars to develop 21st century skills i.e. to be creative, independent thinkers, responsible, innovative, decision makers, explorers and researchers, participative, facing challenges, enthusiastic, have a sense of wonder, respect all and be compassionate to other living beings. This is what is true education which brings out genuine and true individual and not just mechanical beings who lead superficial lives. Choice is entirely ours.
